I just got a canon bjc 600 inkjet printer and am having problems getting accurate color output. I have the cannon driver availible from the directory but am having trouble deciphering the color adjustment options. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. thanks alot, Dennis

First, I'm responsible for the programming of the orig. Canon BJC driver available on the CanonDisk V3.1 here on CIS. Do not mix that BJC driver with the other driver available here on CIS in a single archive. Only my Canon driver offers full Extended Emulation on the Amiga and you need that in order to get speed/quality. So, in case you are using the CanonBJ-EC driver, continue. Otherwise, flame the other author 😉 Please, describe VERY VERY precise your problems with the Canon driver. And don't forget to include the info on the program/driver settings you are using. I'm currently on vacation and thus can't try out your report. But maybe we can solve this problem here on CIS. Just make sure I know what exactly you are doing.

Well the driver I am Using is yours and the printer prints, theres no problem there the problem is in the color output. The colors are darker and not the same as what I see on screen, This was stated in the manual on the canon disk, but I could not find where It said how to correct this. Ive tried adjusting the gamma correction and using the color adjustments, but I cant seem to find the correct settings. you said to include all info so I ran the report program and heres what it said: printername 'canonBJ-EC', version 35, revision 50 printerclass: PPC_COLORGFX ColorClass: PCC_4color PrefsPrintShade: SHADE_COLOR paper size: N_tractor quality: LETTER Papertype: Single Spacing: SIX_LPI Pitch: PICA Print image: positive MaxColumns: 80 NumCharsets: 10 NumRows: 1 TimeOutSecs: 30 MaxXDots: 360 MaxYDots: 360 left margin:5 right Margin: 75 PaperLength: 66 GFX Print Density: 7 color correction Red: off Color Correction Green: off Color Correction Blue: off if I use color correction the colors seem to be off for example the yellows and oranges are printed with a magenta shade. Thanks for your time and help, Dennis
