She's getting into some classes at school now that require learning Lotus123.
They are giving her the the same version that comes on the 100LX, so this
should be very convenient for her :^) Maybe she will learn something about
computers after all.
So, did you get your 95LX yet? It may be a while before I can get some
software rolling, if ever, but I'll let you know. Ever do any Amiga
programming?

Yup, got the 95LX! I just went on a downloading spree in the HPhandhelds
Forum. <g> All I need is a modem card, maybe a RAM card or two, and I'll be
cooking with fire. Hmm, wonder how Procomm looks in 40 columns? 🙂
Nope, never really did any Amiga programming. If I had time I probably would
— used to fool around on the Atari 8-bit. What I had the most fun with was
adding a GUI (sort of) to people's BASIC programs, with fades when switching
screens instead of "chops", creating musical "bongs" instead of beeps, stuff
like that. Even got to where I could repair a trashed disk directory structure
by hand with a sector editor. Heh! I'd love to program on the Amiga, but it's
SO time-intensive that I never even tried. At least so far. 😉 But I do get a
chance to do a buncha beta testing here & there. Keeps things interesting…

I don't know about the 95LX, but the 100LX can go to 80 columns by hitting
Function+Space bar (ZOOM). Procomm looks good on the 100LX, but it needs a lot
of space. You will have to exit the System Manager and you will probably need
a RAM card to store it on. It will fit on the 100LX, but you have to delete
almost everything on the C: to get it to fit. And, there is no room left over
to download. They do make a new PCMCIA card that is both a 14.4 modem and a 2
or 4 Meg RAM card. Check out the catalogs available in the HPHAND forum for
details. They can even sell you the acCIS program preinstalled on the thing.
Yeah, I am about the same way when it comes to Amiga programming. I do a
little Arexx and some small C programs, but nothing intensive. I haven't
messed with Basic in years, but the most programming I ever did was with Ada in
the Army. I do a little beta testing for Amiga, too. What programs do you
beta test, and how do you become a beta tester for them?
