#GVP 040 & 030
10 messages in this thread
I'm interested in the 040 board. Could you tell me a few more things about it.
When did you buy it? I know there are several speed options on the board;
where does the 040/50Mhz fall in terms of speed (I have an 030/40Mhz and am
looking at upgrading). Also, what system did you have it running in? (I would
seek to run it in a 2000).

PMFJI but I see you have an '030/40MHz. Is this a GVP combo in a 2000? If so,
do you have a SCSI 2 drive controlled by it? Do you ever see any interference
with the video display (specifically, the mouse pointer) during hard drive
access?
Thanks!

Yes, I do have a GVP 030/40Mhz combo in a 2000 that is controlling my drives.
I am just starting to play with it, so will check about interference with my
mouse pointer when hd being accessed. BTW, what does PMFJI mean?

Hi David – PMFJI, but –
It stands for Pardon Me For Jumping In. Saves alot of typing.

Daniel –
The 030/50 has a standard SCSI interface, not the SCSI II. The GVP 030 board
is fairly robust – the only probems I had was with my 2000 / Toaster system
when I was playing with framestores. NewTek sent me a patch that fixed the
problem.
Want to buy it?

That's why I was directing my message to David Welsh, who stated that he had an
'030/40MHz.
Since I only have the one 2000, I don't need another '030. Thanks, anyhow.

Can I transfer the memory from my current DKB 2632 ram extension board for my
CBM accelorator (for 2500 computers). If so, I am interested.
Thanks
Jim
Uh, you're gonna have to refresh my memory…what are you interested in?
Although I have a couple items to sell, I don't recall posting any messages to
that effect recently. Are you psychic or did you intend your reply to go to
someone else?
