Ken, The only place that might have better maps than the TIGER database is the Defense Mapping Agency. I don't have a number or anything, but you could always try Washington Information. BTW, I think I sent you my wishlist for XMAP software, but here it is again in a nutshell: Direct printing, or at least a way to export the data to something that can print it at the full resolution of the printer. The user should be able to specify the level of detail printed. Currently, back roads show up around level 13, but you may want them at lower levels in rural areas. Check out Tunbridge VT as an example. Speed, speed, and more speed. Maybe the application could pre-fetch the street names and surrounding areas after it displays a screen. This would speed up searches. You should be able to zoom OUT by more than one level at a time. Navigation stuff a la AutoMap would be really nice. If you haven't already done it, you may want to look into moving it onto one of the smaller DISCs that they use in the Sony DATAMAN (or whatever that thing is called), and reworking the software for use by drivers, truckers, Real Estate Agents, etc. Imagine how nice Federal Express would find it to have computerized maps in every delivery truck.
