GREG. Do you or anyone know how I can use my Lantastic 5.0 and my 2 PAR drives together. Any attempt to pas PAR animations from my Graphics department to the Studio edit bay using Lantastic corrupts the PAR drive images and the PAR drive on both machines usually has to be reformated erasing all of the work.!!! Bert and Lawrence from Advanced Media are trying to figure this out with me but so far no luck. Any help you can offer would be greatly appriciated… Thanks.. David R. Long King Schools, Inc. David: >> Bert and Lawrence from Advanced Media are trying to figure this out with >> me but so far no luck. Hmmm. maybe I should let them muddle around in the dark a bit longer! Greg Pyros PS – Hint: Copy to an intermediate hard disk, don't go PAR to PAR.

David, I'm not sure if this will help your specific PAR/Lantastic problem, but we found that when the Par drive loads to the same drive letter on our workstation as a drive that is in use locally on our server, files transfered to and from that server drive will be corrupted: If PAR loads as D: then files transfered to/from the server's D: drive will be corrupted, even if that drive is redirected as Z: on my workstation… The solution is to use DOS SUBST to fill up drive letters before PARDRV loads. Since our server has three drives, C:, D:, and E: we have to fill up D: and E: on our workstation so that PAR loads as F: using SUBST D:=C:\ and SUBST E:=C:\… Good luck! –Donald
