#Autodesk Animator Player
7 messages in this thread
Hi:
I need a vesa driver that will view the images on my CD-Rom. A message appears
saying: no vesa driver. Problem is, I can't find anything that will work.
Someone said the Autodesk Animator Player will do just fine.
Does anyone know where it is?

Try either the driver in UNIVBE.ZIP or UNIVESA.ZIP; one of them will probably
work for you. I think they're in the libraries here.

George,
What type of images are you trying to view. The needed vesa driver should have
come with your video board and must be loaded to use a viewing utility that
supports "vesa".
Also if this is a CD-ROM that you have bought then all the nessesary utilities
should be on the ROM. You can also contact National CD-ROM at 800 CDROM-13,
They can supply you with great image CD's

The software is Imagine 3.2 and is developed by Impulse Inc. (they're based in
Minneapolis) Some of the files on the CD Rom are .OBJ (that's a new one for
me). Someone said there's a new vesa driver coming out soon, but that doesn't
help me now. Then someone said try univebe.zip. I downloaded it and decided
it was too big to burden down my hard drive.
So here I am still stumbling in the dark.

The only file you actually need out of that whole big download is UNIVBE.EXE;
you can delete all the rest. Then, just type UNIVBE at the command line, and
you should hopefully be up and running. It's about 74K on disk, but only about
6K stays resident.
