Last week, I left a message asking for recommendations on video converters and
someone left me a message recommending MultiPro CTV converter from AlTech. I
called the company and asked them to send me information on their products and
I got it yesterday. I found out that the MultiPro CTV has a list price of $399
and it is an external box. They have GamePlayerTV convertor that has a list
price of $179 and it is an internal card. I am not sure if the GamePlayerTV
card is as good as the MultiPro CTV box. They have an AudioShow II card which
combines a SVGA card, video converter, sound card, and CD-ROM interface into
one card and it has a list price of $299 but I don't know what kind of SVGA
chip it has. Jeffrey.
I have an ATI MultiPro CTV that is brand new! I would like to sell it ASAP as

pinch for one.

PS Interested in your prognosis when you get yours. Ther is also a lower end
model that is about $150.
I had an Iatech pro-pc tv and it was wonderful. It worked very nice. However,
it broke two days before my first project was due and I was literally dead in
the water. I had to track down an e-motia (all I could find) andrent it for
one day (sale price $1300 – not worth it). I finally got a Grand Vision Pro for
around $400. It has a flicker potentiometer which many do not have. The Tape
It? from new media ($500) 8-bit card was nicer, but the text was easier to read
on the GVP so I kept it instead. The GVP's picture changes as it warms up, but
is nice and stable as can be without gettinga PAR – next on my list. Good

I gather you would recommend the Grand Vision Pro over the AiTech MultiProCTV,
then. Do you have a source where I could
get one? Also, have you seen the ADDA Technologies VGA Aver Pro, and could you
compare to the GVP?
I sent you the original message on the AItech CTV. The external box
is a big plus for me, portable, no software, no IRQ or DMA conflicts,
and saves a slot for other stuff. Tiger Software is were I go mine,
$279 and a money back guarentee.

Jeffery, sounds good. If I could have got a decent convertor for $150
I would have been fortunate. (:^)-
Dennis, yes I like the GVP, I don't have the info on me now, I'll send
it direct wednesday am. I tried many out by playing a segment to
video tape and returning them. I compared the tapes to select the
one to keep and ordered it. ((:-).
