OTOH, people should be cautioned it's not *quite* broadcast quality (and VIDEO's Technical Editor Lance Braithewaite says he keep seeing "artifacts" on any footage run through it, though I personally think they're pretty minor & you have to be looking for them), so it may not be right for folks looking for an inexpensive way to get into the high end… OTOOH <g>, I think it's certainly good enough for low-end industrial/ public access/special-occasion videos–and my friend Dave Channon, who does own one, says he's had good results using it for over-the-air broadcast (of course, he was sending edited masters in 3/4" to Troma, where they're not known for being picky <g>…).
