Well, I believe we may dump it in the trash anyways. We'll probably be getting a cube, or a TurboCube after NAB. Avid burned us too much, and my boss isn't one who forgets poor service that quickly. Good luck with your MC, and I hope they treat you better than they did us with MSP. John Jordan Video Editing Services

>> Good luck with your MC, and I hope they treat you better than they did us with MSP. so far, very much so. As far as dumping your MSP, I hope you will actually donate it to a local high school. they can always use something like to start/enhance video classes, and you get a good tax deduction too. – Burt

Burt: Sorry it took so long to reply, but we've had a lot of turmoil around here recently. I noticed your thread with John Jordan. It's amazing how a company like Avid, which was at the forefront of this kind of technology not so long ago has become mired in trouble as it has tried to bring its technology downmarket. We've received lots of e-mail in the negative regarding people's experience as you and John have also indicated. I do believe however that they are attempting to correct the problems. Meanwhile, Data Translation with the M100, Fast with the new DPR, and Immix are rapidly taking over that middle ground user (that is, a pro who needs quality video beyond what the low end offers and someone who can't spend the $ for a Media Composer). Our review on the Fast DPR will be in the April issue of Video Pro, to be distributed at the NAB, and in May we are reviewing the new M100. Thanks for the feedback and good luck. Tim

Tim, How can I subscribe to Video Pro? Am interested in your reviews, as we are looking at either m100, Avid, or Fast for our editing suite. John
