Does anyone know of any Books or Manuals that give additional help or short cuts for using 3D Studio? I am also interested in any Person or Company that provides Predrawn objects (I already know of ViewPoint).

Larry – the only (partial) 3D Studio book I'm aware of so far is "AutoCAD 3D Design and Presentation" by Michele Bousquet and Jeff Hester (both forum members, by the way), published by New Riders Publishing. As it says on the cover, it …"covers AutoCAD 3D commands and AME, Autoshade, Autodesk Renderman, Autoflix, Autodesk Animator Pro and Autodesk 3D Studio". It costs $29.95. You should be able to find it at most computer bookstores, or you can order direct from New Riders at 800.541.6789. I don't think that this is going to be the only book for very long! Dave

Larry, New Riders Publishing publishes a book called AUTOCAD 3D DESIGN AND PRESENTATION. It has information on 3DSTUDIO as well as AutoCAD, AutoShade & Animator. My company Arch Image, Inc., is a RENDERING, ANIMATION & Consulting service for Architects, Desginers & such. While we don't create predrawn objects yet, in the future we will.

Larry: I see David and Michael have already replied regarding 3D Studio books. Although the title may be somewhat misleading, about 1/2 of AutoCAD 3D Design and Presentation deals with the "presentation" side of things. The intent was a holistic treatment of the entire modeling-to-presentation process. BTW, the books goes into its second printing shortly. Regards, Jeff Hester (an unbiased observer, honest <g>)
