I'm just jumping in here, so I'm not sure of what I've missed, but – now that Borland's C++ compiler supports protected mode compiles, will it work in protected mode with ads? Thanks in advance. —- Jim Weisbin [73457,3462] PS – why wont Quick C work in real mode with SDK ? (Is there a short answer?)

I didn't know that Borland had a 32-bit protected mode C++ compiler available. Please tell me more. If it does exist, we will need time to come up with a corresponding ADS support library for it. I don't know why Microsoft Quick C doesn't work with Real-mode ADS. I do know that Microsoft C 5.1 and above is required. We ship ADS.C with the Software Developer's Kit, so you can get these things to work with a little hacking. Oh, and feel free to upload the support libraries here when you're done. 🙂

Hey! I'm really interested in Borland. 32 bit? Really? I've only been asking for 2 years now. Is it true? Walt

Don't ask me. James Weisbin (73457,3462) said that Borland had a 32-bit compiler in message #28372.

I have seen information which leads me to believe that Borland C++ ver 3.0 can do protected mode compiles, but that may not actually be the case. Before I go spreading any more rumours, I'm going to call Borland, and I'll get back to you (all) — Jim Weisbin [73457,3462]
