I have an AT and I am putting in a PGA board that dad has had lying
around for a while. I am having trouble getting it to work with AutoShade.
I am using a NEC Multisync and am configuring my settings to CGA. This is
my first adventure with a graphics board so I could be missing somthing

Joe, it should work if you configure your display device as CGA and your
rendering display device as PGA. =SM=
Steve, when it gives CGA as a choice it has it listed as
monochrome. Does this make a difference? I tried it like you said and I get
garbage for a screen.

It may be that you don't have CGA emulation, in which case select
Alphanumeric Display. Try that option and see what you get.

Joe, CGA in color is such low resolution that it isn't really useable, so
monochrome is the only way to go. If it doesn't work as I suggested, there
may be a hardware problem. What brand is this alleged PGC board? We may be
finding out why it has been "lying around for a while"! =SM=
