#BM2 Upgrade Cost

Those prices are outrageously high for an upgrade from Beta.
I agree that the prices are high but then again it may be that Leon never
received any of our original money. Having spent $200 for a computer
language (twice as much as ever before), I am reluctant to up that to the
$400 range. I will have to think about it.
If Avant Garde thinks that $250 is a conscionable sum to charge folks who
took a risk on a beta product, what is going to be 'reasonable' for the
_next_ upgrade? There are loads of problems with the beta (such as
importing a single routine in a module means including the module's entire
code). Is that 'fix' going to be another $250?
There are some things to consider. as Jim stated, Leon has NOT recieved
the money that you paid to Oxxi for the beta version.
This upgrade is a concession by Leon to those of us who bought the beta
version from Oxxi, and now want Leon's official version. Since Oxxi has the
money , call them and complain, though I expect that they will tell you to
wait for they're free final version, which is not the same as Leon's. This
will unfortunately mean two version's of Benchmark, Leon's, and Oxxi's,
both with different final version, and option's and cost's. It's too bad
that the two parties can't settle out of court, soon; as I suspect that it
is going to be a long legal battle,
with the consumer, (you and ME!) being the one's to get SCREWED!! Though I
am not to happy with the way thoings are, I dont expect a quick soloution.

and then upgrade to Leon's 'official' version later. Frustated , AGAIN, as

and have incurred incredible legal costs just to protect myself. I would
like to clarify that this upgrade plan is for those who purchased the
product from Oxxi. Anyone who purchased the product from Avant-Garde
Software received a free update and has been receiving support since day
one.
