#LISP EMPTY FILES

Have you had ANY machine work with this code? If not I would like to see it,
can you upload a file here? (DL 9) It will not get on the public section so
worry not and uploads are free.

Jamie, The problem is that the routine is part of a whole program. Which is
somewhere around 12K once kelvinated. (I'll have to check its size with
remark statements.) I'm going to have to see if I can get isolate the routine
and still get the same problem. Let me work at it, and see if I can do that.
I'll let you know how its going. I had an idea that I mentioned the other day
to someone else on the board. It seems that in the situations that these
empty LISP files appear, I also often see the dreaded "OUT OF STRING SPACE"
(or something close to that effect) error. Could it be that in these
circumstances, that I am running out of string space in the middle of a file
write routine, and that this causes the empty file, and upon returning from
that LISP routine the error message is never printed?? (It's a long shot…
but its an idea!) ——– Mike

Maybe yes, maybe no. Send us the files, and we'll take a look at
it! Jamie loves to debug long, complex AutoLISP routines that generate
strange errors.

Easy enough, you upload it and enter the description FOR AUTODESK ONLY!
Files when uploaded are put in a holding area so I can review them, no one
else will see the file.
