I encountered the following error and was immediately placed back at the
DOS prompt:
FATAL ERROR: AFPAGER: error writing page file.
Paging file full.
during a *PLOT TO FILE* of a drawing of approx. 1.4 Mb size. No switches
have been set and no environment variables (in other words, *Out of the
box* defaults, except for installation of the DOS extender upgrade) using
R11 386. The system is a 486/25Mhz with 65Mb of available disk space and
8Mb of RAM available to AutoCAD. The plot to file was from the opening menu
with hidden line removal. After completing the hidden line removal (approx.
8 hours), and several hours of *processing vector*, the above error occurs.
Any insights??

You ran out of disk space on the disk that you have directed AutoCAD to put
its page directory.

Thanks for your reply. However, is 61 Megabytes not enough room? That is
the amount of free space on the hard disk! Yipes!

Yes, that should be enough room. Do you only have one partition? If not,
did you redirect AutoCAD to use the partition that has the space on it?
What version of DOS are you using?

Yes, theris only one partition (on a 130 Mb IDE drive) under DOS 4.01.

Craig is correct in what he's telling you. You ran out of disk space
somewhere. Either where you have the paging file directed or where you were
directing the plot file. Is your free 65 megs all in one partition ????

I have only a single partition on a 130 MB IDE drive under DOS 4.01
