I've redistributed all files uploaded to Library 9, What's New!, prior to December 1, 1991 to permanent library homes (how quaint !) and I've placed new catalogue files on the Forum. They will be available after 11:00 PM, PST, January 13, 1992. In each library you'll find two files, one of the form CAD-XX.ZIP, and one of the form CUPDXX.ZIP, where XX is a library number. The former contains a complete file listing for that library; the latter lists the files moved into that library from Library 9, What's New!, as of January 10, 1992 (the exception is Library 9 itself, where there is no update file). In Library 9, What's New!, you'll find CADCAT.EXE and CADCAT.ZIP, complete listings of files in the public libraries of the Forum. CADCAT.EXE is handier (it's self-extracting); CADCAT.ZIP is nominally cheaper (it's smaller so takes less time to download). Historically, we've placed these files on the Forum in the ARC format because Macintosh users had a utility available to them to unarchive .ARC files. I see that we've got a couple of utilities on the Forum now for Mac users that will unarchive .ZIP files, so I've gone to the newer, more efficient, format. Let me know if this is a problem for you. I've also corrected the Library announcement which erroneously directed Forum members to look for a catalogue file called BROLIB.EXE (now called CADCAT.EXE). Should save some confusion.
