Lansing, I don't have that program. There can be a problem with Hatch files that don't have a carriage return after the last line. Double check that. But the report I just read says nothing about ALLOC errors. Arc and send me the hatch pattern and I will see if I get the same results. Jamie

The weird part is that I haven't made the hatch pattern. I'm just trying to use the acad.pat off the original disks. Whenever I do a hatch "lp" (which DOES NOT EXIST ) I get la bomba. .. Still puzzled. What can I send? Maybe you should fly me and my computer out there for re-alignment and advanced diagnostics. .. Thanks anyway, .. Lansing

Well, never mind. .. I just copied acad2.ovl and acadvs.ovl from the R9 originals and the problem disappeared. .. .. Gee, Jamie. Hope you didn't lose any sleep over this. ..

Ok fine, but I was thinking this may be a good tip to keep around in case someone else does the same thing. Can you (when you have the time) outline for me a step by step that creates then solves the problem. Maybe there is a bug hiding in there. Jamie
