Tech-niks… Todays list starts w/ a user who gets "fatal error:smio1" with a
certain file and I imagine its the diskette or the file has taken "a hit" but
I thought I'd ask. 2nd is a client who wants to chng the plot sizes in her
plot menu (a,b,c,d etc)to her own specs rather than just "user"and have them
come up as defaults each time she plots. She has an Ioline cfg'd as a DMP56
on a Sun 3/60 w/ rel9. Ideas?? I told her I didn't think it was do-able. 3rd
is a guy who wants to change the x-hair size to more of a "cross" pattern(not
just when he picks dialog boxes) like he had on Brand-X cad.I told him not
possible but I wanted to make sure. 4th Is a call I just got from a guy whose
X-hairs won't go above the "DIM" menu level on his NEC multistink; ergo he
can't get his pull downs activated. Of course (he says)it worked fine on
Friday and NOBODY has done ANYTHING to change it. I can maybe see the
graphics card or the monitor getting sick or maybe someone got the menu areas
on his AutoPAD cfg'd wrong….I'll call him back and have him re-cfg the
AutoPAD again. Any otherideas??? Thanks Randy@avcom

1. Sounds like a hit. Try the usual DXFIN technique, or use the
backup (they do have a backup, don't they?).
2. No, those values are in the code. I suppose that, if your
client wanted to patch the plotter driver, she could change the default
values. I know there used to be a document here in one of the DLs that
talked about that. Jamie, do you remember if that file is still here (and
what it's name was)?
3. Sorry, the cursor is not configurable in the current release.
4. Well, could be any number of things. Are they using the
standard Release 9 ACAD.MNU file? Has someone altered it? Could it be
the TABLET configuration? Is he trying to access the pull-downs with the
keyboard cursor keys (not allowed currently)?
