bra I downloaded "textin" for use in importing my ascii fi of attributes (created with the "sdf" format) autocad so that my finished room finish schede could be plotted along with the rest of my drawing. wheI did this however, certain control characters appeared (which I could eras…but the text columns did not line up as they shoulmight you have an explanation of this? thanks. Theo: Sounds like you did some text editing in the document mode (i.e. letter writing format). I know that the temptation is great to do so, since your text lines up nicely, etc. but it won't work. There may be some text editors that let you do all of those pretty text functions without control characters, but I don't have one. You also have to use monotext, which is better than standard text, but still has some errors in it and doesn't line up perfectly. Craig. .
