I am looking for a key-swapping utility. Here is why: Like most people, I
am right-handed, so I tend to use the mouse with my right hand. The
problem is, most (read: ALL) applications that have keyboard equivalents
force you to use the right-amiga with a special key. What I want to be
able to do is swap the left and right amiga keys. This would allow me (and
most everyone else) to use the mouse with their right hand and work the
keyboard with their left hand. Is this possible to do?If this sounds like
something that makes sense, could we please have an option in preferences
about swapping the keys?
Alternatively, could this swap be done with a utility like KeyMapEd?
Hmmm… maybe I'll try that. Still, it would make sense to just run a
utility that changes the codes sent by these two keys.
It is not possible to swap the functionality of the Amiga keys with a
keymap editor (or at least not the ones I have seen). You might do it with
a hardware hack.
