You're right, the CLtd Han-D-Scan uses the parallel port. Now for the fun
part. It also use the serial port. Oh, and just for the fun of it, it also
uses the #2 Joy Stick port. CLtd was kind enough to pack enough gender
changers with the unit so that it can be hooked up to either the A1000 or
the 500/2000.
If you want to free up your serial port, drop by a Radio Shak and pick up a
12 volt adapter, works fine. ($10.95, maybe there are cheaper ones out
there.)

Is the ONLY reason the HandiScan plugs into the serial port to draw power?
That's absurd!
Thanks for telling me…I'll hook up an adapter…but now what do I do with
the A/B switch I just bought? [hehe}
