#Byte vs AmigaWorld 3000

Gabe – outstanding! Question: how much more detailed than the BYTE article
(if at all) was the Amigaworld layout? Also, I take it you don't want your
msgs repeated anywhere? Or just in full and with your permission, or what?
In full, only with my permission, and with full attribution. Consider it a
first hand report from the field. I accept the responsibility for
inaccuracies or errors, and the responsibility to issue retractions or
corrections if deemed necessary. I just felt that since I spent the time
to write so detailed a report, that my efforts should not go unprotected.
Amigaworld was much more detailed, including more graphic screen shots of
WB 2.0, info on the networking, on the ECS and more. The Byte article WAS
rather favorable, tho. I also had the opportunity to chat with a BYTE
reporter (didn't get his name, tho. pity) who was recently hired (last
year and a half) and his impression is that now that they have hired a
couple of Amiga-enthusiasts, coverage should increase. He also was of the
opinion that coverage has been in proportion to overall market share in the
last coupla years. Probably true, but a shame since that causes the
marketplace to stagnate.
