I'VE UPGRADED TO THE NEW WB2.04 AND NOW MY 2088 BRIDGEBOARD RUNS NOTICEABLY

Adding 2.04 will not make the BB slow down, however, if you happen
to be running the PCWindow on the WorkBench screen, and you've set up your
preferences to have the WB screen in heavy overscan or 16 color mode…that
can slow things down VISUALLY. The actual operation of the BB is
independant of the Amiga, and it works just as fast…but what you see on
the screen may be slower due to the Amiga side (what's displaying the
picture you see) being overloaded.

thanks i'll reset the wb to default colors and see what happens. i did call
commodore and asked about the new janus 2.1, they said that the current
janus does affect the way the bb works under 2.04 but they had no release
date for the new janus……anthony

Yes…there are some problems with 2.04 and the BB, but it's not a
speed problem…it's a problem with PCPrefs.

No…no solution using your Amiga. Unless you can boot it in 1.3
mode that is.
The only other solution I know of is to find someone (perhaps your
dealer) who has a BB and a 1.3 machine. Run your setups on that machine,
copy them onto a floppy and then copy those files onto your PC.
