#ADPro/Epson Driver Lvls

I think I have version problems with ADPro and ADPro's Epson ES-300C
Driver. We purchased Adpro, version, 2.0.5 at the end of Feb and just
received the ADPro driver, version 3.0.2 for the Scanner yesterday. The
ADPro manual with the scanner says the loader is intended to be used with
ADPro 1.0.3 or greater. (I'm also in support and tend to sympathize the the
or greater statements!).
Well anyways, when I load using the Epson loader I get the message "This
loader is a new version. Using it may be dangerous." Being the
adverturous sort, I went ahead anyways. The SCAN in preview worked fine,
but not in fine mode or when I attempted to abort. It didn't work (oh how
I hate that phrase!). The screen went blank with the exception of a non
movable cursor arrow and a title bar across the top. Nothing I could do,
but reboot.
I suppose since the initial warning message was there, the rest of the
description is probably known.
My question! What level of ADPro do I need! How do I get an upgrade! It
seems that a version we bought last month should be fairly recent?
Or is it possibly wrong in the way that I installed it (followed
instructions) or operator error! The standalone version works fine.

Please register your ADpro 2.0.5 with ASDG. The EPSON driver you received
is looking for ADPro 2.1.0 or later. The manual, well, was overly
optimistic. To provide greater function and capability, the interface
between ADPro and its modules required change. The warning facility
(flagging mismatched versions) was put in place to let you know WHY things
failed when mismatched versions are teamed up.
The upgrade from 2.0.5 to 2.1.3 is free, by the way.

I've just gotten an A3000 (traded in my 2000) and with it an IV24 board.
I've noticed ADPro doing something strange. If I save an image to the IV24
in non-overscanned mode it works fine, displaying the picture in the 16.5m
color mode. If however I try and save the picture in overscanned mode (over
WH) it will only save it in the 4096 mode, and quite frankly HAM mode is
better than that! Is this a known problem with ADPro, or am I doing
something wrong in the settings? Please let me know, as this makes it hard
to use the IV24.

I have not encountered this before. We have two IV24's and have not seen
this. Neither has anyone reported this till now. Can you fiddle with your
FYE commodity and see if that changes anything? Also, there have been
several versions of the GVP libraries (and roms). Is it possible that you
might have older roms or library software?

Well, the actual board is fairly old, it was one of the first production
ones. It does have the newest (?) ROM (v2.0) on the card, as well as the
software is also the 2.0 update. I've noticed that the board seems to have
trouble with overscan in their MacroPaint program as well, if I use some of
their overscan settings everything goes crazy. I'm hoping that it's not a
hardware problem, although if it is, I'll send it off to GVP as I just got
it within the week.
