Which model of NEC multispeed drive are you referring to, and what is the

Hi Ron,
This double speed drive is the NEC 83M. Media Vision is only selling
this drive as part of the Pro-16 MPC upgrade kit. The full retail price is
$1199.00. This comes with Windows 3.1, tons more software, the audio board,
and CD-ROM drive.

any way I could buy the internal and change it to an external? Huh?

Media Vision does not currently offer an upgrade kit with an external drive.
Watch for the upcoming release of the CDPC for an external solution.

The CDPC is a long-promised enclosure for an internal CD-drive that also
houses a sound card, MIDI interface, joystick port, 100 Watt stereo
amplifier, two speakers, and a sub-woofer crossover circuit all designed
into a nifty package.

Kevin, sorry to jump in here, but I saw the CDPC at Softeach this past
weekend and WOW! If you want external, it is DEFINITELY the way to go!
They told us (dealers) we will see it on April 28th (Does anyone at MV want
to comment on that?) and I can't wait to get my hands on one!
