"DANGER! Hot Stuff" is a CD-ROM containing 578MB of computer graphics contributed from over 40 different sources. It's a collection of the finest PC based artwork. Every picture, animation or professional demonstration is credited to its creator in a massive README.DOC file that serves as a guide to the CD. There is also over 40MB of SoundBlaster demos, sounds and related utilities. Its the first CD-ROM produced by a PC graphics service bureau that is meant to be showcase. The only other CD that I know of that is a collection of demos is Selectware. This product is organized into catagories based on products. Our CD is based on graphic catagories and is cross referenced by artists. In 4 months we've shipped over 7,000 copies of it. We are selling the CD here in the UK for only 3.53 Pounds Sterling. That price includes VAT and shipping costs. In the USA, Nimbus Information Systems is selling the CD for $5. For more info, you can download DANGER.ZIP in DL10. This is the README.DOC file for DANGER! Hot Stuff.

Phil, When you first left a message concerning this cd I called Nimbus and talked to someone and was 'put off' to say the least. I was referred to some dealers, of which I did not write down the info. Since, i wasn't "a dealer" it seemed I was more trouble than it was worth. I would really like to get a copy of this cd, but going directly thru Nimbus is not an avenue I would care to persue. Any suggestions? Scott

I'll admit that Nimbus has absolutely the worst phone system I've ever had the displeasure of working with. It SUCKS. But, if you will call 1-800-782-0778 extension 414 (don't forget to ask for the extension!!!!!) you'll get me direct. We *ARE* rather busy here at times and under-staffed. And there *WILL* be those instances. We are new at this doing our own publishing business (we're a mastering facility, first love) and are learning. But once we replace the antique phone system and install another 1-800 number we think the service level will rise to our usual high standard. Just ask any replicator about Nimbus' outstanding reputation for customer service when mastering a CD for them.

Thanks for letting me know about this problem. I'm really annoyed that you can't get our CD from Nimbus with a minimal amount of bother. I've printed your message and faxed it to the Managing Director at Nimbus USA, Larry Boden. His colleague, Ernie should answer your message the next time he checks CompuServe. I guess this explains why we're shipping CDs all over the world and the US isn't doing very well. The plan was that they would sell it directly to end users. It is a total shock to me that they are refering you to dealers. This is the problem with selling a CD at too low a price. It isn't a priority because nobody is making any money. We are selling them in lots of 100s and 1000s here but send them out singly as well. The whole point of making it available through Nimbus USA was to make it easier for the US market to get the CD. Well, it appears that it is easier for me to direct people in Sweden, Germany, France, Singapore and Finland to a distributor than it is in the States! Please easyplex me your address and I'll airmail you out a free one as soon as I can.

I'm sorry you reached an unpleasant person. Call and ask for me, Ernie at extension 414!!! I *WILL* get to the bottom of this and a good chewing for an employee is immenent. 1-800-782-0778 ext 414

When I tried to order the ROM, I was told that the person taking those orders was out to lunch, and would have to call me back…. I never heard from them again! I guess a $5 sale just isn't worth their time. Chris
