I've been trying to track down something that will play my 3DS animtion and music files into my soundblaster at the same time! SYNCHRONIZED ANIMTION! I have many cartoons created but I want to add some music and play them back on the screen !

Gary, I've looked into this a bit and I have come to the conclusion that sound and animation (fli's + flic's) cannot be played back in precise synch with any existing audio cards and/or software. Be advised that many dealers and even manufacturers will tell that their boards/software will synch up but they are wrong. If you just need approximate synch (maybe +/- 5 frames or so), the MicroKey audio card and "Splice" software would probably work. (512-346-5781). I believe the only current reliable method is to get your animation on video tape and edit in the audio with conventional video tape editing equipment. If anyone knows how a better way, please let us know. Alec Jason

The MediaVision ProAudioSpectrum Plus includes a utility to play back sound concurrently with AA and AA Pro FLI and FLCs. It was written by Voyetra. We have successfully used in many ocasions. We could play-back 640×480 FLCs with sound sampled at 32Khz 8-bit (mono) on an 386 20Mhz PC. MediaVision has a forum in CIS, in the Multiven section (go mediavision) Jossi
