I just finished installing a new cd-rom to my computer. I was looking for a
unit to complement the sony 7205 in the office .. but wanted SCSI rather
than proprietary. The supplier offered me a Panasonic w/ a Future Domain
SCSI. on opening the box I see it's a Matsushita – it this actually a
'Panasonic'. Anyone with any experience with these Matsu/FutureDomain
setups? It seems like a fast & solid unit. One thing that I was
disappointed in was the dearth of documentation – almost nothing! And I was
also disappointed to find no driver for playing background music (which is
about 70% of the use I make of the Sony) Are there any shareware (or even
commercial) 'generic' drivers to allow one to play music CD-ROM's?? thanks
