Just trashed sbpro 🙁 for your new PAS 16 upgrade kit :)! Actually traded it back in because I couldn't get it to work. 16 bit stereo is the way to go. MV should be deemed the gods of multimedia. A lot of excellent thought went into the bundle you produced. Keep it up and THANKS! Ross Stout

What eactly was the bundle? Kevin from NJ

The bundle was – PAS-16, NEC CDR-83J Drive, MacroMind ACTION!, Compton's Multimedia Encyclopedia for Windows, Window's 3.1, Mother Goose, King's Quest V, Nautilus, and Lotus 123 For Windows with Multimedia help. I think there was one more but in all this excitement I have lost my mind as well as my CDs. 🙂 Ross

Did they offer and external drive instead of an internal? NEC 73M? Thanks! Kevin

Sorry! Don't know about the external drive. You may want to leave a message for Doug Cody in the Multimedia Forum. This NEC drive is the 83M. You probably know better than I what the difference is. For another plug for the PAS 16, I just ran the SB PRO (8 bit stereo) and the PAS 16 (16 bit) side by side with WIN 3.1 media player. My Audio CDs where noisy on the SB PRO but sounded as good as my cd player in my audio equipment setup. HOT BOARD! Ross

Ross, That's a great testimonial for the Pro AudioSpectrum 16! May we quote you? Ken

Ken, Are you from Media Vision? I talked to someone down there a few weeks ago about an upgrade to my Sony CDU-7205 bundle. He said MV was working on a PAS card which would interface with this drive. Also, what's the diff between PAS 16 and the PAS 'Plus'?

Wayne, The PAS plus is 8-bit PCM, not 16-bit as in the PAS-16. Also, the 'Plus' can play Sound Blaster audio or Pro AudioSpectrum audio but not both. The Pro-16 can play both simultaneously (digital audio) We're still working on a Pro-16 with a Sony interface. You may see something in the Wall Street Journal soon. Ken
