Thanks for the info & offer of MS BBS #. I have mscdex, but do not have
WIN extensions (or MM Windows). Do you happen to know if it will still be
necessary to buy MM Windows after 3.1, or will the MPC extensions be in
that version? (Eventually we'll get this question defined sufficiently to
elicit a cogent reply!! But by then we'll all have 3.1 anyway…. :-}

I have 3.1 — got it at Egghead for $48.00 and it has the mm extentions
-the search for an OEM source is over.
Steve, Yes, I'm in the same happy state, except I'm having problems now
with all the obsolete drivers, i.e., SB Pro. Can't get MIDI files to play
from Nautilus, etc. Oh, well. I'm sure there are solutions as soon as I
have time to look for them. Just hope they aren't too expensive. Thanks

You will find the Windows 3.1 drivers for the Soundblaster Pro int the
Multimedia forum (GO MULTIVEN) in DL 1 the filename is sbpw31.zip. It comes
direct from Creative Labs and seems to work well.
