Have just finished physically installing a 1 meg Fatter Agnus chip in my
A2000 (WB 1.2 in ROM, 6 MB expansion RAM). But the computer doesn't seem to
realize that it now has 1 meg chip RAM. AVAIL still tells me I have half a
meg of chip RAM.
I'm missing something. Is there a switch I have to throw, a jumper I
have to set, a program I have to run?

As a matter of fact, there are 2 "switches" you have to set.
Jumper pad J500 (either a real set of jumper pins with a jumper
across them…or two solder pads with a trace between them) must be opened.
J500 is located near the lower left corner of U301 (the left of the two
8520's).
Jumper J101 (a 3 pin jumper located near the lower right corner of
the power connector on the motherboard [above the 68000]) must have the
jumper moved from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3.
