why doesn't acad ship amelite with the updates of rel.11? If I am to convince my superiors to purchase ame, it would help if I colud give a sample demo of amelite. Is this another blunder by acad? Are you guys trying to lose more of the market share? I'd love your answer and reaso reasons to this one. Emil

Emil – your question properly belongs on the ACAD Forum, where the AutoCAD stuff is dealt with. This is ASOFT, the multimedia and scientific software forum. AMELite disappeared when AME 2.0 was released a couple of months ago. Autodesk doesn't offer a version 2 AMELite, and I agree with you, it's a stupid idea. Dave

Emil, The reasons why AMELITE was dropped are … 1) Most of the functionality that of creating primitives is availbale with 3d.lsp. Calculating area of primtives is the only functionality missing. It's simple to calculate area of 3d primitives with LISP, programs are available to do so. 2) Customers did not find AMELITE, useful since it did not allow them to boolean objects or modify it, but just allowed primtive creation. I think your dealer should be able to give a demo of AME R2, to your superiors, in order to convince them to buy AME. Also, AME R2 is a vastly improved product, check it out ! Kindly direct any further questions to Section 3 ( AME) under ACAD Froum. Ashim.
