Thanks for the info. What I need to know is what is the deadline for
those of us who purchased it before Jan. 1, before that upgrade price is
withdrawn. That is if its only available for a certain period of time.
According to the upgrade procedures paper I just received;
"To obtain the upgrade, they (Customers) must furnish their dealer with the
original serialized Diskette #1 of Autodesk 3D Studio V1.x. If they are
within the free upgrade period (1Jan.92 – 30Apr.92), they must also supply
an original proof of purchase (plus the required disk) with their upgrade
request."
So if I read this document correctly, if you purchased 3DSv1.x between
1Jan.92 and 30Apr.92, you are eligable for the FREE upgrade.
Purchases before 1Jan.92 are not eligable and therefore require an upgrade
fee of $395.00.
Upgrades are furnished through Authorized Autodesk Multimedia Dealers ONLY.
No direct upgrades are available.
