Hi Mark, It's been a couple of months since I sent you a floppy of a PageStream file that prints bands of grey or gurus on my HPDJ printer. I haven't heard back from you and we are still having the same problem. Occasionally, we can print a page with no bands but ususally there are bands that consist of small grey characters closely spaced and usually toward the bottom of the first page. Then the printer prints another page with a narrow grey band on the top of the page. We have deleted the program file and re-copyied it, deleted the printer file (HPDeskJet) and re-copyied it. We have done everything but stand on our heads but the problem continues. However when we take a file on a floppy to a 2000 connected to an HPLJ4, there is no banding problem. The banding occurs on a A500 with an adspeed, flicker-free video, supra 500x with 4megs of rams and a 52meg Quantum hard drive. We use PageStream in our ad agency to design ads and set type and I can tell you that this "banding" problem is annoying and time-wasting. We'd sure appreciate some help or suggestions! Thanks Jon Byk
