Hello. Anyone out there know how well/what part of Superbase Pro 3 is upwardly compatible to Superbase Pro 4? Since Oxxi bought the rights to version 4, they are not familiar with previous versions. Specifically, are databases compatible, are Arexx scripts compatible, etc.? (I've only used Superbase Pro 3 a bit, so please fill me in with the other types of files that might not be compatible.) Thanks. Tom Elam

Tom, I upgraded to SBase4Pro better than a year ago. There are NO incompatibilies save those which crop up when you try to run an SBase4 application under the old SBPro3 and it uses Sbase4 features. Arexx scripts are fully compatible as long as they use the correct message port for SBase4. In other words, there is no "porting" required to run existing applications under the new release. As for should your upgrade… well, if you want to be able to get support when you need it… YES. It's well worth the cost of the upgrade (which I'm sure Oxxi can tell you about). Jim Joslin
