Hey! Zmodem might be better; in fact it IS better but….in my
experience y-modem has proven to be faster. It apparently has less
overhead. I still use z-modem exclusively when it is available. Z is
more robust with noise on the line and has a resume feature that I
have used usccessfully more than once when it really saved me a buck
or two. Sorry to pick that nit but somebody was bound to.
I think your recommendation is still right.
