#Telnet, ftp on Amiga
5 messages in this thread
Does anyone know if C='s TCP/IP software includes Telnet and/or ftp?
I'd like to hook up to a (non-Netware) PC using the A2065 using
TCP/IP, but it's hard to tell from the product description whether
Commodore's package only provides the protocol stacks. Thanks for
any and all info-
It includes both. You can telnet out of the Amiga, and you can ftp in
or out of the Amiga. Some of the "r" commands are supported as well.
Yep, both are there and NFS (client only) too. I haven't tried the
Telnet or NFS yet but FTP works great! Now if I could just figure out
how to send an escape code with the function keys while using the
RloginVT function.. The docs give NO hint.
CBM's A2065 brochure (from 1090?) states several FTP versions are
available, and that VT100 Terminal Emulation is available. While
TELNET is not explicitly named, I would assume that it "is there". It
would be very unsmart if it wasn't, n'est-ce pas?
"Un-smart?" Commodore? Gee, that *would* be a first, nicht wahr? <g>
