Hi, everyone I am looking for 3D models of cars. Specifically Chevy's. Does anybody know a good company that has a large database. I am looking for ready made items not custom made. Phone numbers and some info will be appreciated. thanks Edward Hanst toasting on sunny CURACAO….

Viewpoint has a HUGE Database of Objects,Viewpoints Phone # is 1-800-DATASET. They have objects that range in price from $50 to $5000 They've released a few to the PD and I've gotten a few of them like their 32 Dodge object for Imagine and also for Lightwave. From the Demo objects I've seen I was VERY impressed. I got these objects off Genie.

Thanks for your answer, sounds like what I need. Do you have a regular phonenumber or fax number? I am calling form outside the US. I cannot call 1800 numbers all the time

There's Studio Amiga BBS if your not already familiar with it. They seem to have quite a few objects for all formats, although cars I'm not real sure about, but it's likely. The number is 817-467-3658. -Rodney Massman * On AutoPilot in Beantown, The Buckeye State *

Correction to that – the number is 817-557-2111. Don't know how that other number got written down for Studio Amiga. My apologies. Hope this number serves you better. -Rodney Massman * On AutoPilot in Beantown, The Buckeye State *

Thanks for your reply. Iwill have to check what state that is since I am calling from overseas through a leased line in NYC. If this is to far I might not be able to dial it.

I think it's Texas, another 3d shop is Fat Aggies BBS 1-805-964-3754 located somewhere in California. These two boards are really great for 3d Objects files. I've gotten my majority of objects from them. I believe Studio Amiga also has an Automobiles section with a couple Corvettes. -Rodney Massman * On AutoPilot in Beantown, The Buckeye State *

Is Fat Aggies still in operation???? Last time I called Bob was having some problems. Don't Forget the TradeNPost BBS which has a TON of Imagine and Lightwave objects too. Phone # is 718-847-4439

Yep, Bob said he had some problems but that he recieved alot of encouragement and got it back running again. Good board. Hey, thanks for the TradeNPost number – didn't know about that one – I'll give 'er a ring today so that maybe I can get online with them tonight! My deal on the used DCTV fell through. I offered 150 and he (can't remember the name *sorry*) said he just got an offer for 175 – so I offered 180 if that deal didn't work out. I can't see spending 200 if you can get it new for 3. It's still a tad of a deal though for 2 if everythings working correctly, you just don't get the warrantee. -Rodney Massman * On AutoPilot in Beantown, The Buckeye State *

I hope yer deal goes thru. You'll wonder how ya got along without DCTV. mayhaps after yer DCTVified we can trade tapes.

Well, the one said he sold it already, the other, well I'm not sure? He said he sent it COD and if it gets refused he'd get in touch with me – only thing is – who'd he send it to? Me? Nothing like a message coming back and saying 'Okay – sent it COD and if it gets refused I'll get in touch with you'. Y'know – they say it's the memory that goes first…. Guess I'll find out in about a week 🙂 Don't have DCTV but I'm keeping my eyes on the Classified section. Say, would you send a tape to show me what you've done with DCTV? I'll pay the postage and the tape just for the peek. -Rodney Massman * On AutoPilot in Beantown, The Buckeye State *
