#Sound Effects On CD ROm

Hi All!
I left a message about this once before, but thought I'd leave another one for
those who missed it.
I work for a sound effects company and we have started putting our effects on
CD-ROM. Our first CD contains 300 effects in 4 .WAV file formats (11khz st and
mono, and 22khz st and mono), and also in the normal red book audio format. It
also includes a little search program to help you find what you're looking for.
SO…. the question is…. What do you think?? Does it sound interesting? Does
it sound like something a programmer would be interested in?? The average
person? What would YOU like to see on the next one? What WOULD make you
interested?
Keep in mind, these are professional quality sounds that are used in major
motion pictures every day. They're not just lifted from tapes or whatever.
Also, we're thinking of adding audio editing programs (and other related stuff)
on the next one. Do you know of anything that might be good to include?? (Even
if in a modified format.)
Anything you have to say might be helpfull. So thanks in advance for the reply!

While we've talked about your CD in progress I guess I never answered your
survey.
I'd like to see the disk and while I might have some fun with it I doubt that
I'd personally use it in production. However since we work with so many folks
who author packages for us to put on CD-ROM, perhaps they would have an
interest in using your sound files and search program in their work.
You've implied that these sound are not protected and can be used in other
production work. Is that true or have I read too much into your posting?
