I have, in general, no other real problem switching drives. Specifically, if i understand your question, it is not a problem. When i was playing about, if he Audio CD was playing, an attempt to switch drives in File Manager caused an error ("Unable to switch to drive n:", not System Modal). It was when the disk was stopped, i did not try paused. It did not occur to me at the time, but i do have share loaded. It ia hard for me to decide what to do about share. I have Visual C++, which wants it loaded, but i also run the "SmartCan" in Norton Desktop, which doesn't want it loaded. The thing is when i do get a share biolation I go down quicker than i can say "Oops!". Using the "Play drive X:" command may help. Yours will be the first shareware product i've seen with this capability (I don't know what's out there commercially! Apparently, MSCDEX is customizable by the drive manufacturers, and people have suggested that I may not have the correct MSCDEX for my driver, or that i have an old version of my driver. As far as I know this is not the case. Thing is, I haven't been able to justify the time to track it sown, because I knoe the types of things that will cause my system to "say Good Night, Gracie". Maybe I'll call someone at Pioneer again, but they don't really publish a tech support number.
