area, & if so, the best bets. Preferably interested in U.S. made — largest
supplier — money is issue but so is speed and ease of general use. Any help,

Are you talking about buying a drive, a disc, or a company?

LMSI, in Colorado Springs, CO, is the ONLY US manufacturer (as far s I know) of
CD-ROMdrives [D [D [DSorry, cat on the keyboard.
This may not necessarily be the best drive, I like Toshibas myself,

(LMSI is Laser Magnetic Storage International)
Dana:
I think CDROM Inc. in Golden makes their own drives. But of course, there are
still only a couple of sources for major components, either Japan or
Netherlands. So US mfg boils down to some level of assembly and integration.
But you got to take what you can get!
