Most high-end video editing decks support discrete recording of video/audio.

Oh. THAT explains it… HIGH END decks… no wonder I didn't know anything
about it <grin>.
I did see a great digital suite when I was in CA last… too bad some of us
have to live in the boonies. I get on here and feel like I'm in a constant
state of behind… sigh.

Jumping in I guess I'm comming from the other direction. I been use to using
the best high end deck's D2, One inch, Beta sp, and way back when 2" quad
(only for real men!). I take all those DVE's ADO's Harries for granted. It's
the 3DS's, Crystal and the like that I find a challange and a brave new world.
I guess it's all relative depending from what world you come from. <g>
