Hi Dave. I tried your BUILDSV program, and have been unable to get it to work. I tried it on 3 different pc's, each with a different video card. It appears to make the .exe file from the .flc, but when I type the .exe filename, it just goes to the DOS prompt and nothing happens. I tried it on a 486/33 with 16 megs RAM and a Diamond Stealth VRAM card, on a 386/25 with a Trident card, and on a 386/25 with a plain vanilla Paradise VGA card–all 3 yielded the same results. I am uploading the file MAURA.ZIP for you to take a look at– it contains the file LESLIE.EXE, which was made from the Buildsv program. Please let me know if I did something wrong, although I doubt it. This type of program (one that makes an .exe out of a .flc) is very much needed and I would like to get a working copy. Thanks. Regards, Maura

Maura, I'll take a look at your file, and try to get the problem straightened out. –dkm

Mark, I'll try uploading 1.0.1. One of the fixed I made get it to at least produce an error message if it fails again… I hope. –dkm

Mark, Whatever the problem is, it looks like the BUILDSV player was making it even worse by erasing the screen right after it wrote out an error message… –dkm

Hi Maura, I as well cannot get the program Bldsv.zip to work, the screen goes blank for a fraction of a second, then just pops to the dos prompt! ahh! when David gets the bugs out, I guess it will be ok! bye for now Mark Schneider, Montreal, Canada
