I highly recommend the Fuji H471S tape. I have never had a dropout with this
formulation. If you blackstripe it and play it back you should not see a
single sparkle even. Nothing else that I've tried comes close.

I don't know if it is still made or not, but 3M made a great tape for a while
called "BlackWatch." This tape was super!
As for SFR onto tape, just make sure that your tape has plenty of back
coatings! The more the better, as the more, the less flaking, and the fewer
dropouts!
