How do I find out what video card I have? Is "adapter model" the same thing? My adapter model is TSENG Labs ET3000/ET4000. The type is VGA. My Monitor is SVGA. This is in regard to the question I had earlier about my screen resolution. I wish to see it in 640X480. I am using 3-D Studio Release 2. Thanks for any help. James Franssen

James, Yes, you have the right information. What is important is what chipset your display adapter is using, which in your case would be the Tseng ET3000/4000. Remember that information, you will need it in the future when you upgrade to version 3. There are plenty of VESA drivers available for the Tseng chipsets, a few available on this forum. Download VESA32.ZIP and/or UVESA3.ZIP. These drivers will allow you to access the high resolution VESA modes of your video card. There is an ADI driver in Release 2 that allows you to access the VESA drivers. Prior to starting 3DS, type the command that starts your VESA driver (VESA32.EXE or whatever it is in your drivers case) and also type "SET RCPADI=C:\3DS2\DRIVERS\RCPVESA.EXP". (Adjust the path accordingly if your .EXP file is in a different location.) Then in the 3DS.SET file edit the lines that read RENDER-DISPLAY and MATERIALS-DISPLAY to = RCPADI. Don't do this for the MAIN-DISPLAY, you don't gain anything by using the VESA driver there. Good luck, -Brian
