#Pro Page and Transfers

I have ProPage 4.0 and a 24 pin Panasonic printer. Is there a way I could
reverse letters or printing so that I could output onto a sheet for Iron on
transfers. I used to do this in school a long time ago with Printshop and am
not sure if I or Propage can do it. Thanks! –John–

ProPage can't do it, however you should consider buying Wolf Faust's
Studio Printer Software, which will not only enable you to mirror your
output from PPage, but also gives you full control over colours, dither
patterns, colour separations and lots more. To my knowledge there is no
other print program which equals Studio in quality and user-friendlyness.
Do you or anybody else who reads this message know a manufacturer of
transfer ink, which would be suitable for use in inkjet cartridges?

I've posted a similar question in the HP Peripherals forum (I use a
DJ500C). I'll let you know if I get anything (and vice-versa, I

Hi Robert,
So far no success with finding the transfer ink, I am going to extend
my search to the Crafts forum, however you might be interested to know
that there is an American company currently developing a transfer paper
for inkjet printers. I faxed them for details, and as soon I hear from
them I'll let you know.

What do you mean by "THE Michael Schumacher"? Of course I am. The one
in Germany is an imposter! He was still in his Pampers when I rode my
first Kawasaki. Anyway, could you do a favour for a not so fast German
living in exile? If you know some computer stores in Germany with a good
choice in Amiga software and hardware, who do also mail order, could you
let me know their fax or phone numbers please? Also, do you know a place
where I could get Trapfax and what it costs in Germany? Thanks a million!

hmmm, computer stores, huh? Well, I usually order directly from
manufacturer/main distributor, or fro some things pop down to GTI at the
Frankfurt station for the odd peice of software…
Depends on what you want (that isn't available in USA anyway) really…
Let's say you can get a LOT of things (hard and software) from GTI (even
Trapfax for 179 DM) and their address is:

They accept Amex, Diners, Eurocard, and Visa credit cards. THey ship via
mail or UPS. P&P is 15 DM to foreign countries pre-paid, german VAT is
deducted form the price if the shipment goes to non-EC country.
Of course there are other distributors who are often cheaper but these
usually carry a very small range of products (mainly hardware).
Whereabouts do you stay at the mom where you cannot lay your hands on
Amiga hard&soft?

Many thanks for the info. Haven't had much contact to Germany over the
past 7 years, and I started computing over here in Britain. From what I
hear there is quite a lot going on in Germany in terms of hard and
software development for the Amiga. It's rather difficult to get reliable
info from dealers here, many of them are only box shifters. The reason why
I was trying to get hold of Trapfax in Germany is that I was hoping to get
a more up-to-date version, because the one currently on sale here does not
work with the latest chip revision of the Supra V.32bis FaxModem. I am
going to France at the beginning of May for 2 months, and I need Fax over
there.

what's "Veltins"? Oh, silly me, it's a beer, isn't it? – unfortunately
I'm not the beer type, I rather drink Coke (definitely NOT Pepsi…)
except in British pubs where I drown myself in Lager… ;^). I used to
live in Croydon (two houses from East Croydon station, actually) 10 years
ago but I'm afraid I don't remember being to Epsom… (… 2 minutes …)
Just had a look at the old "Dierkes Weltatlas" – it's just due West of
Croydon! (though outside Greater London) I might be able to visit you on
the Tuesday or Wednesday that week if my wife lets me (she's going to
visit a few premises of the company she works for…). How much is the
train fare from London to Epsom? Just in case, you can cMail your adress
and phone(/fax?). I'd really like to do this…

Ramco Computer Supplies, 1-800-522-6922, is developing transfer paper for
inkjet printers. So far it hasn't materialized <G>.

from them.
I've used their transfer paper for laser printers & color copiers & had
great success, using an iron rather then a heat press. Children go nuts
when they see their drawings on tee shirts and you make great brownie
points with grandparents when you give them their grandchildren on a shirt
<G>.

Thanks again for your reply. I've bought two weeks ago a Supra Fax
Modem V32bis, which has this Silent Answer feature. According to the
manual this has to be supported by the fax software you are using. Are you
aware of any reliable programs, which deliver good quality faxes and also
work with Silent Answer? Being a total newcomer to comms, I was happy to
get Autopilot up and running without problems, so fax will be now the next
step. Let me know if I can do something for you here in Europe.

Download the PanaDisk from this forum library. It includes the latest
Panasonic drivers. All drivers offer a "mirror" function. Yes, that
function was actually done for this reason!
