I have the second hard drive (a Seagate ST3600A) in my 4000/040 working (played around with the jumpers on the factory 120 meg drive and made the ST 3600A the master (I think)), but I have to warn-reboot after a cold boot for the new drive to show up on the workbench or on INFO. I tried a WAIT 60 in my startup-sequence incase it was a spin-up problem but the didn,t help. Any suggestions? Jim R. Ollick Using AP from Bergenfield, NJ

Hi there Jim, Have you tried increasing the wait command to see what happens??? Try mounting the extra drive from the CLI to see if it responds. Could the problem be with the controller or are you using the A4000 onboard systems… Hope I jogged your braincells a bit :8^)= STARFIRE cruising the stratosphere MOTOROLA 040 and AUTOPILOT ENGAGED!

Paul, Thanks for your reply. I tried a WAIT 60 (which seemed to make it wait forever). I'll try the mount command from the CLI to see if it works. I am using the onboard IDE controller in my 4000/040. Jim R. Ollick Using AP from Bergenfield, NJ
