Toaster not responding
2 messages in this thread
After upgrading to OS2.1 on a multi-start board w/1.3 as the secondary OS
and at the same time I added MegaChip (2 meg chip ram), I have been unable
to boot my toaster. I called NewTek and they suggested I use the
adjustment screw on the side of the board. Still unsuccessful. I have
tried it with every configuration of inputs/outputs conected, from nothing
to everything to no avail. Any hints would be extremely appreciated. From
the beginning, the toaster required a warm up period of about 5 minutes,
which makes me wonder if there is a week element in the hardware. Toaster
not responding.
With nothing connected to the Toaster's inputs, only two causes come to mind
for your Toaster Not Responding message. One cause might be that adjustment
screw on the side of the board. (Adjusting that one takes a lot of patience
plus it almost needs to be close to working in the first place.) The other
cause could be your monitor. The 1084's will work fine but some other RGB
monitors load the composite sync line too much. Are you trying to use a
standard RGB monitor (Sony, JVC, Magnovox, …) ?
