Does anyone have any reason why an external genlock is preventing my A2000 from booting up. This happens with both an Amigen and a Minigen. These work fine on friends' machines. My setup includes: A2000 XT BB GVP series II '030 22Hz with 1 meg Supra RAM with 2 meg serial card on BB side – via Whap!

John, There's an internal jumper (J300 maybe? – I don't have my manual handy) that has to be set for using a genlock. I'm not certain that this is your trouble, but, it wouldn't hurt to check into it. Hope this helps, 8) David

After I purchased my used A2000 a year ago, I could not get my SuperGen exexternal genlock to boot up. It turned out that the a certain resistor was "blown" which outputs the the (I believe) the 12v charge out of the video port to the genlock. When the genlock was removed, all was fine. This part was replaced and all has been fine since. R Suba P.S. I meant that the computer would not boot up, not the genlock…
