Well, dang. I upgraded my DOS version to 5.0 finally and now Musicbox in Windows doesn't work. It keeps saying, "MSC-DEX not found" or somesuch. Has anyone experienced this problem? I amagine this means I need an update to Musicbox, but I just thought I'd check…

Michael, Are you using SETVER to "lie" to MSCDEX about the DOS version? Check your bootup sequence and see whether MSCDEX is actually running or not – also, what version of MSCDEX are you using? — Dale Dobson

MSCDEX seems to load ok and other than Musicbox in Windows, everything seems to work ok, oh, with the exception that my daughters game, Mixed Up Mother Goose doesn't seem to work properly unless we use Musicbox in DOS mode to access the disk once. Wierd eh?

MIKE, MAKE SURE YOU PUT MSCDEX IN YOUR AUTOEXEC.BAT FILE WITH THE PROPER PATH. I'M RUNNING DOS 5.0 & HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS

It's running ok. I don't know what the problem is exactly. Musicbox works ok from DOS, but in Windows it complains that MSC-DEX is not there (which is incorrect, it is somehow not seeing it from inside Windows, which it did ok before I upgraded to 5.0, duno).
